Inria reaffirms its official position regarding the deposit of written productions on an open access basis. The primary concern is the requirement to deposit the full text of all Inria project teams’ publications in HAL, the open archive.
Over the last eleven years, Inria and INRA have continuously renewed their partnership: the fourth framework agreement, signed in June 2016, confirms the collaboration between the two institutions through joint research teams and scientific projects.
Inria Awards 2015
The HAL-Inria platform aims to promote scientific publication, visibility and peer review. Launched in 2005, the HAL (Hyper Articles en Ligne) open access repository has become an essential tool for the research community. The 2015 Support for Research and Innovation Inria Award has been awarded to the HAL-Inria development team working in collaboration with CNRS.
As a result of the collaboration between Software Heritage, HAL-Inria and the CCSD (Centre for Direct Scientific Communication), HAL is opening up to a new type of scientific data: software. Henceforth, researchers therefore have the possibility of depositing source code whilst contributing to the software heritage built up by Software Heritage.
