Emmanuel Vincent: making maths work for sound


The holder of a DEA (post-graduate diploma) in "Acoustics, Signal processing and Computing applied to Music" and a PhD from Paris VI University completed at IRCAM, Emmanuel Vincent was recruited, as a research scientist at Inria Rennes - Bretagne Atlantique, in 2006 after post-doctoral research at Queen Mary University in London.

Since 1 January 2013 he has been part of Inria Nancy–Grand Est and more specifically the Speech team led by Yves Laprie.

3DV 2015 : International Conference on 3D Vision

Since 2013, under the name 3DV (3D Vision), this event has provided a premier platform for disseminating research results covering a broad variety of topics in the area of 3D research in computer vision and graphics, from novel optical sensors, signal processing, geometric modeling, representation and transmission, to visualization and interaction, and a variety of applications.

Antescofo : music and computer science playing the same tune

Can a machine listen to and enter into dialogue with a musician in real time when he is playing a piece of music? Arshia Cont, research director of an Inria/CNRS/Ircam team has taken up the challenge by created the start-up Antescofo, who use a software developed with the MuTant research team and which combines real musical instruments with electronic sound production devices.

The teams of the Inria Bordeaux Sud-Ouest in partnership with the academic and business worlds provide original solutions for understanding, forecasting, monitoring and optimising complex systems by developing deterministic and stochastic methods. Application needs are varied, and include controlling trajectory when launching tasks, minimising agricultural inputs, satellite imaging and reliability of industrial systems.

Josiane Zerubia and Rachid Deriche appointed EURASIP Fellow 2019


Josiane Zerubia and Rachid Deriche, INRIA research directors, have just been appointed EURASIP Fellow 2019.

The awards will be officially presented at the opening and award ceremony at EUSIPCO 2019, to be held in A Coruña, Spain, from 2 to 6 September 2019.
