The dissertations of Samuel Huron and Jeremy Boy have received the "IEEE VGTC VPG doctoral dissertation award 2015" with a First Prize for Samuel for his dissertation "Constructive Visualization: A token-based paradigm allowing to assemble dynamic visual representation for non-experts" and an Honorable Mention for Jeremy.

An international team of cryptanalysts - Pierre Karpman, from Inria Saclay - Ile-de-France Grace project-team, Marc Stevens from CWI, Netherlands, and Thomas Peyrin from NTU, Singapore – are today urging the industry to deprecate the SHA-1 Internet security standard earlier than planned. Research carried out by the team has revealed a freestart collision in the SHA-1 hash function.
Université Paris-Saclay is organizing its first Business Convention (BDBC) on the theme "Big Data" in Saclay. This is an ambitious event with a national scope targeting challenges and opportunities of Big Data including data sciences, business potential. Nozha Boujemaa, Director of the Inria Saclay Ile-de-France research centre, is head of the organizing committee of this convention to be held on 24th and 25th November 2015 at HEC Paris.
