Call for nominations for the 2026 Inria Science Awards

Would you like to see a researcher or a team in the fields of computer science or mathematics working at Inria or another French organisation recognised for their work? Send in your nominations by 15 May 2026!

 

Established in 2011, the Inria Awards aim to recognise the contributions and achievements of those who are driving forward the fields of computer science and mathematics, thereby contributing to the development of our digital world.

Inria Scientific Awards

In 2026, Inria and the French Academy of Sciences will award the following three prizes:

  • Inria – Academy of Sciences Grand Prize – Prize money: €25,000: awarded to a scientist, a group of scientists or a research team who have made an exceptional contribution to the fields of computer science and mathematics. These individuals must be working within a French institution, with no restrictions on nationality or affiliation.
  • Inria – Academy of Sciences – Dassault Systèmes Innovation Prize – Prize money: €20,000: awarded to a scientist, a group of scientists or a research team who have been particularly active in the field of knowledge transfer and innovation within the fields of computer science and mathematics. These individuals must be working within a French institution, regardless of nationality or affiliation.
  • Inria – Académie des sciences Young Researchers’ Prize - Prize money: €20,000: awarded to a scientist under the age of forty (although this age limit may be extended by one year per child) who has made a major contribution through their research, transfer or innovation activities to the field of computer science and mathematics. These individuals must be working within a French institution, with no restrictions on nationality or affiliation.

How do I apply?

  • Deadline for submitting applications to the Academy of Sciences: Friday 15 May 2026 at 1.00 pm
  • Applications must be sent directly: by email as a single file (PDF format) to prix@academie-sciences.fr

Applications must be submitted to the Academy of Sciences by a project team leader, a laboratory director, a head of institution or a member of the Academy of Sciences who is supporting the nomination.

Direct applications will not be accepted.
