Aurélie Martzel was appointed Communications Director on June 2, 2025.

After completing a Master's degree in contemporary history at Nanterre and a post-graduate degree in political and social communications at the Sorbonne, Aurélie Martzel began her career in 1997 as an agency consultant. She then spent a year in the communications department of the Institut Gustave Roussy (IGR), before joining Santé publique France, where she headed the campaigns department until 2010. She then joined Citéo, the eco-organization in charge of sorting and recycling household packaging, as director of consumer and institutional communications. In 2016, she joined Australie.Gad, an independent communications agency, to develop the consultancy offering, before taking over as Managing Director until June 2021. In July, Aurélie Martzel joined the communications department (SIRCOM) of the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance as deputy director. In February 2023, she was appointed Head of Department, with the main missions of informing the public about the Ministry's public policies, developing the attractiveness of Bercy and providing day-to-day advice and operational support to the Ministry's offices and departments. She will join Inria as Communications Director in June 2025.
