Seismic Waves Manipulation through Hydrodynamics Boxes
Seismic Waves Manipulation through Hydrodynamics Boxes

What if water eddies could shield structures against seismic waves? That's the bold idea behind the exploratory action "Fluidonics". At the intersection of wave manipulation and hydrodynamic simulations, this concept aims to unveil new seismic barrier designs leveraging the dissipation and interference phenomena induced by the turbulence of a sloshing fluid to manipulate waves on a geophysical scale. Ultimately, this project will offer innovative perspectives in the field of seismic engineering as well as in the design of multi-physics meta-materials.
