Portrait de Raphaël Raynaud

Raphaël Raynaud has been appointed Director Financial and Asset Management Affairs (DAFP), with effect from 1 February 2026.

Having completed a dual degree in management (Master’s from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen, now known as Neoma Business School) and corporate finance (Master of Science in Accounting & Finance from Aston University), Raphaël Raynaud began his professional career in 2010 in the private sector at KPMG, where he spent more than five years working on statutory and contractual audit engagements for listed and unlisted companies in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) and energy sectors.

He then moved into the public sector in 2016, where he has held various financial roles over the past 10 years. He initially served as a financial affairs officer at the Energy Regulatory Commission, where he was involved in setting tariffs for the use of regulated networks and infrastructure in the French energy sector (Enedis, EDF SEI, Storengy, etc.). It was whilst gaining this experience that he obtained his chartered accountant qualification in 2018, with a dissertation on public service delegations. He then joined the First Chamber of the Court of Auditors in 2019 as an expert in the certification of the State’s accounts within the team responsible for auditing operating income and expenditure and off-balance-sheet commitments arising from the State’s role as an economic and social regulator.

He finally joined Inria in 2022 as Deputy Director within the Financial and Asset Management Department (DAFP). In this role for over three years, she worked across departments to support the various units of the DAFP and was a key point of contact within the institute on financial and asset management matters, both internally with the headquarters departments, the programme agency and the Inria centres at the University, and externally with funding bodies, line ministries, auditors and supervisory bodies. With effect from 1 February 2026, she has been appointed Director of Financial and Asset Management.
