AI Methods for Smart Network Management
AI Methods for Smart Network Management

The SMARTNET project explores the transformative potential of AI in smart network management, focusing on slice provisioning and causal analysis of network malfunctions. The project aims to develop advanced methods to handle the increasing complexity of multi-domain networks, emphasizing fast, scalable provisioning and optimized energy efficiency. By adopting a holistic system thinking approach, SMARTNET seeks to provide comprehensive insights of the network and its subsystems. Unlike traditional AI/ML, the project employs causal AI to identify cause-effect relationships, enabling strategic interventions for malfunction prevention. This collaboration between INRIA and Nokia Bell Labs aims to significantly impact both research and industry by advancing efficient and intelligent network management solutions.
