Her career
With an engineering degree in computer science and systems analysis from ENSTA ParisTech, and an MBA from HEC (Master Entrepreneurs), Sophie Pellat specialises in supporting leaders of innovative and high-stakes projects, after gaining extensive experience at consulting firms such as Gemini Consulting, Altis and Ernst&Young, and founding her own company. Pellat has played a major role in the launch of innovative products and the creation of start-ups.
In 2006, Sophie Pellat joined Laurent Kott as development director at Inria-Transfer, tasked with providing Inria spin-offs with strategic coaching, before playing a role in the foundation in 2011 and subsequent development of IT-Translation, an investment fund set up by Inria for digital deep tech start-ups. Now seen as pioneering, this ultra-seed fund has helped launch around fifty or so start-ups through a combination of acceleration and investment. Pellat currently teaches tech entrepreneurship at ENSTA ParisTech.
