Microbial Alliances for Glyphosate Detoxification

Glyphosate, a widely used herbicide, is raising concerns about its potential effects on aquatic environments and biodiversity. The GlyphoClean project explores an innovative approach: combining microalgae and bacteria to degrade and eliminate this pollutant from water, reducing its bioavailability and ecological impacts, through a methodology that integrates experimental biology, mathematical modeling, advanced control and optimization strategies, and artificial intelligence. This research aims to inspire new sustainable biotechnologies to clean water and better protect the environment.
